John 4:43-54
After two days in Samaria, on day three of the Lord Jesus came back in Galilee (v. 43). There are two forms of the Lord Jesus suffered acceptance. The Galileans welcomed him because they had seen the miracles that Jesus did diperjamuan mating diKana, Jerusalem (verse 45), This is just a welcome mediocre.
Contrary to receipt of a court employee. At Cana, where He had turned water into wine (verse 46), the Lord Jesus met with court officials. Court officials has been running from Capernaum to Cana seek the Lord Jesus to beg the Lord Jesus heal critically ill children (verse 47). When the Lord Jesus told him that his son is alive, he believed in his word (v. 50). On the way home, the court officials met with his servants who reported that his son had been healed. The word about the state of his son is "alive", the word is also used by the Lord Jesus (verse 50). The same word is also revealed in the report his servants (verse 51). This word also is remembered by the court officials when he realized his son was healed (verse 53). Apparently when his son was healed just as the Lord Jesus declared that his son is alive. At that, he believed in the Lord Jesus (verse 53).
Why up to two times said he believes? There are two processes of growth of faith in employees of this court, namely:
1. Paragraph 50, the court officials believe the first one in the Lord Jesus. That's when his faith was born. Although it can be said that efforts to seek the Lord Jesus is a manifestation of his faith, but then in verse 50, he clearly stated his faith in the Lord Jesus.
2. Verse 53, is the moment when faith has been deepened. Events that cured her son is not born of his faith, but faith is an event when the diperteguh. Faith in this increasingly manifest themselves in concrete form. This faith testify. Court officials who deepened his faith soon testify about Jesus to the whole family (verse 53). It's beautiful, the whole family believe in the Lord Jesus.
Meditation: True faith is not just lip service, but the witness said of the heart in which Jesus lived emit.
